Ramona Marie Sponsler

Ramona Marie Sponsler, Marshfield, was born March 29, 1937, in Cabool, MO to Lee and Pansy (Brown) Kirkman. She departed this life on August 30, 2024, in Jacob’s House, Willard, MO, at the age of 87.

She married Dale Sponsler on June 30, 1955. They graduated together from Drury College in May, 1984.

Mona had worked as a real estate agent and Church Secretary. She was a member of the Marshfield Christian Church, Show Me Club, Audubon Society and active with the Marshfield Senior Center.

She loved to travel. She and Dale had a cabin at the lake where they enjoyed boating and skiing. Mona loved to shop and she loved new technology.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Sponsler; her daughter Robin Hays; son-in-law Mike Hays, and special friend Cecil Ragsdale.

She is survived by one daughter, Raven Reed and husband Brad of Springfield; one brother, Dan Kirkman of Springfield; and two grandsons, Josh Reed of Omaha, NE, and Jay Reed of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be before funeral services from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
