Annie Bell Van Ness

Annie Bell Van Ness, Seymour, was born on July 11, 1946 in Seymour, MO to Pinkney and Susie (Cantrell) Napier. She departed this life on November 2, 2024 in her home at the age of 78.

Annie enjoyed reading, and had even ran a little bookstore in her husband’s shop. She loved to cook, shop, and sew. Annie always took care of everyone. She had won $250,000 on a lottery ticket once!

She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sonny Van Ness; siblings, William “Dave” Napier, Clarence “Short” Napier, Lloyd “Samps” Napier, Fred Napier, Louisa Patty, Mary Lou Hotson, Lena Cantrell (Jim) and Eula Dewhirst (Bob).

Annie is survived by her daughter, Vicki Wood and husband, Dennis, Seymour; sister, Geneva Bennett and husband Roy, Seymour; sisters-in-law, Louise Napier, Marshfield, and Wanda Napier, Marshfield; brother-in-law, Richard Hotson, Granite City, IL; two grandsons, David and Dustin Wood; and great-grandson, Liam Wood.

Funeral services are pending, and will be announced by Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
