Howard Wright

Howard Wright, son of Carl and Arlie (Mings-Atwood) Wright, was born April 18, 1933 in Spurington, Kentucky. He passed away at 5:25 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 in Marshfield Care Center at the age of 91 with family at his side.

Howard was a longtime meat cutter, including at Cunningham Fresh Foods, member of Marshfield United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Claude, Eugene, Raymond, and Jimmy Wright; and one sister, Estelle Atwood-Woodrum.

Survivors include his wife Peggy; two children, LaRue Lowe, Marshfield, MO and Darrell Wright and Faustina, Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren, Shaun Wright and Katie, Centerville, OH, Amanda Conner-Zaruba and D.J., Springfield, MO and Cassie Lowe-Doerhoff and Chad, St. Elizabeth, MO; four great-grandchildren, Isabel Wright, Benjamin Wright, Aurelia Doerhoff and Aaryn Zaruba; his sister and brothers, Helen Addison, Raymond, Robert and Larry Atwood, all of Kentucky; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Marshfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
