Ima Griggs

Ima (Tetrick) Griggs was born December 14, 1933, near the Ozark/Douglas County Line in Trail, Mo to Lewis and Valley (Tate) Tetrick. Ima went home to our Lord on March 30,2024 at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 16 days. 

Ima is preceded in death by her husband, Rick, her grandson, Jason and 6 siblings.

Ima had many joys in life. In her many years, she enjoyed cross country trips to the west coast to visit family, trips to the country to visit family, our annual family reunion in July, visits to the monastery to grab her favorite fruitcake, yard sales and reading. Her greatest joy was her family. 

Ima was the mother of 5 children. Rhoda and Gale Walton, Rhonda and Holt Rice, William “Bill” and Tobi McCool, Valerie Sue Tolle and Mandy and David Rust. 

14 grandchildren Makenzie (Mikki) and Michael Vega, Miranda Rice, James and Anita Rice, Mandy and Michael Williams, Lacie and Cole Starbuck, Candice McCool, Travis and Megan Tolle, Casey and Tamsen Tolle, Trent (Hope) Alexander, Ashlie and Dakota Townlain, Dalton and Samantha Rust, Brayden Rust, Gabbie Rust, Gracie Rust, Emma Rust and Clara Tate Rust. 

17 Great Grandchildren Wyatt and Mikayla Berry, Cale and Carli Berry, Bailey (Joe) Alexander,  Luke Rice, Chase Starbuck, Jason Starbuck, Kaitlynn and Matthew Martin, Austin Starbuck, Cayden Steinwand, Colin Tolle, Waylon Tolle, Saylor Tolle, Cheyenne McGlynn, Wyatt Townlain, Dolly Townlain, Azalea Rust and Easton Rust. 

5 Great Great Grandchildren. CoraLee, Samantha, Braeden, Jasper, Beauden and the arrival of a 6th in December 2024. 

Ima is also survived by her siblings, many nieces and nephews and a whole lot of people who loved her dearly. In December, the family gathered to celebrate Ima’s 90th birthday and her baptism.  

Graveside services will be at a later date in Eaton Cemetery, Drury, Missouri, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
