Bernice Ida Pate

Bernice Ida Pate, Niangua, was born June 20, 1941, in Zeeland, ND, to David and Alma (Herr) Dockter. She departed this life on January 28, 2025, in Webco Manor, Marshfield, at the age of 83.

Bernice’s hobbies included crafts, bowling, birds, flowers, square dancing, and fishing. She was a homemaker and was a Lutheran.

She is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Ann Pate-Murray and husband George, of West Plains, Cristina Lynn Pate-Stokes and husband Robert, of Mt. Vernon, Cathryn Ida Pate-McAnally and husband Larry James, of Marshfield, and Carolyn Sue Pate-McClanahan and husband Keith, of Harrisburg; siblings, Robert Dockter and wife Cheryl, Phoenix, AZ, Marjie Hestermann, Queen Creek, AZ, and Leslie Dockter, Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Brian Wingo and Stephanie, Sean Wingo and Lyndsey, Connie Herr and Andrew, Chelsea Wilson and Jesse May, Wyatt McAnally and Montanna; six great-grandchildren, Jack Wingo, Finn Wingo, Max Wilson, Jesse Wilson, David Herr and Hattie Herr.

Cremation is entrusted to the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Inurnment will be at a later date in Rosehill Cemetery, Willard.
