Jimmie Vernon Silkey
Jimmie Vernon Silkey, Marshfield, was born on July 1, 1945, in Marshfield, MO, to Delmar and Anna (Wendlandt) Silkey. He departed this life on January 27, 2025, in Webco Manor, Marshfield, at the age of 79.
Jimmie was a truck driver. He was a member of Osage Baptist Church. Jimmie's grandkids remember him best as the man who could fix anything. Whether it was a go-cart or a four-wheeler, they always knew who to call—Grandpa! He was always willing to help those in need, especially if it involved tools. He was creative and loved to build and weld. Jimmie had a passion for fishing. If it were a nice day and he wasn't at home everyone knew to go check the pond. He loved being on the water.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Jeff Silkey.
Jimmie is survived by his daughter Rebecca (Silkey) Cline, four grandchildren Chanelle (Silkey) Ezyk and her husband Carl, Braya Silkey, Chanz Silkey and Josiah Silkey, great grandson Killian Ezyk, sisters Wanda Silkey and Pat (Silkey) Henderson, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shelly Arnold who was a great friend and support to Jimmie.
