Kenneth West, Sr.

Kenneth Eugene West, Sr., Fordland, was born on April 21, 1941, in Freeport, IL, to Carson and Darlene (Noller) West. He departed this life on February 3, 2025, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 83.

Kenneth was a retired United States Marine. He attended The Rock Church.

His hobbies included golf, shooting, dancing, and Bible study.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline (Barry) West, of the home; his children, Kenneth E. West, Jr., John Lower, Jr. and wife Judith of Ozark, and James Lower of Fordland; his brother, Michael Shapp, KS; his sister Myrna Petrozzi, AZ; three grandchildren, Nichole, Brianna, and Trenton; and one great-grandson, Eli.

Cremation is entrusted to the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. No services are planned at this time.
